Indian IT companies gain against global competition

Indian IT continues to increase its share of the global outsourcing market. In the first half of this year, they were significant gainers in terms of the number of deals they won. And the gains have come largely at the expense of European service providers Share Astrology Tips

Indian IT firms grew their market share (in contracts awarded) to 27.1% in the January-June period from 23.6% in the first half of last year. TCS, Infosys, Wipro and Tech Mahindra were among those who won deals in excess of $25 million each. 

The share of big European IT firms - including Capgemini, T-Systems, British Telecom and Atos - dropped to 16.4%, from 22.3%. The firm could not provide similar proportional data for the total contract value, but given past trends and the extent of gains in the number of contracts this year, it would be reasonable to assume that Indian IT has also gained in the value market share Financial Astrology Trading Tips

US firms registered a growth in share to 18.1% from 16.7%, as per data from IT outsourcing advisory firm ISG. 

The firm could not provide similar proportional data for the total contract value, but given past trends and the extent of gains in the number of contracts this year, it would be reasonable to assume that Indian IT also gained in the value market share
