Chinese firm to invest Rs 1,000cr in Telangana

China-based Leo Group has come forward to invest in Telangana. The group will set up a heavy duty pump-manufacturing unit at an investment of Rs 1,000 crore. 

The company's willingness to invest in the state became evident on Tuesday when Leo Wang, chairman of Leo Group, met chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at Liaoning, China Himanshu Tiwari Astrologer Blog

The chief minister is on a 10-day trip to China to take part in the World Economic Forum (WEF) meet at Dalian city. He is also scheduled to visit other cities in China to promote investments in the state. 

A release issued by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) said that CEOs of top 30 companies in Liaoning had a meeting with KCR to explore investment opportunities in Telangana. 

The release said that Shenzhen-based companies had shown keenness to invest in India including Telangana. Jinade Ye, president of China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Shenzhen, invited the chief minister on September 14 to meet investors.
