LIVE: Nifty at fresh record high, hits crucial 9,950 mark; RIL, ITC lead

The benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty50 hit their record highs as investors kept an eye on a host of quaterly earnings scheduled for the day. Gains were, however, capped by a mixed trend seen in Asian markets ahead of the joint OPEC and non-OPEC ministerial meeting later in the day. Meanwhile, the combined net profit of 119 early bird companies, which have reported their June quarter earnings so far, was up 10.6% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis, better than the 10.2 % growth reported by the sample in the corresponding year-ago period. Commodity Trading Tips
