African telecom giant MTN appoints Indian in key position

MTN, Africa's largest wireless operator, has appointed India-born executive, Rahul De, as its chief marketing officer for the Nigerian market. 

De has been with the group for many years and is credited with turning around MTN's Ghana operations where he was the marketing head for 4 years Stock Market trading Tips

Nigeria is the largest market for MTN in terms of subscribers. At 61 million customers and revenue of almost $4 billion annually, it contributes 30 per cent to MTN group's revenues. 

Prior to MTN, Rahul has had stints in key positions at Reliance, Aircel and Maxis (Malaysia).
