Rupee appreciates 15 paise to 67.39 against the US dollar

Extending its recent rise, therupee appreciated 15 paise to 67.39 against the US dollar in early trade on Thursday,      Indian stock market astrology prediction

The domestic currency had closed at 67.54 against the greenback in the preceding session.
"The government's commitment to the fiscal roadmap is likely to support the currency, as it reinforces confidence of global investors. Apart from the positive sentiment, the impact on currency market is likely to be gradual as an improvement in flows position will also depend on the extent of global market conditions. Fundamentally, the rupee will be sensitive towards developments in exports and capital flows," said India Ratings in a note.

The rating agency expects the rupee to stay in 67.45-68.15 range in the extreme short term.

The Taiwanese dollar rose 1.03 per cent to 33.02 against the greenback. The Koreanwon added 0.66 per cent to 1,219.40. The Malaysian ringgit, the Philippine peso, the Singapore dollar and the Indonesian rupiah advanced between 0.14 per cent and 0.77 per cent.   Jackpot Stocks Trading Tips

"It shouldn't be forgotten either that many of the positive attributes of the rupee that first enticed investors, such as high carry, positive fundamentals, and a domestic-led growth story, largely remain intact. The rupee is worthy of being an outperformer in the region and tactically we like it versus the Philippine peso and the Singapore dollar. Looking ahead, USD-INR stability is broadly expected this year, but the EUR and the CNY's directions will be important drivers," said HSBC Global Research in a note.
